If you've played DotA on Warcraft 3, then you will be familiar with League of Legends (LoL for short). The game is played with two teams spawning on opposite ends of the map. The goal of the game is to get to your opponents base and kill their Nexus. There are a couple of characters or champions to use and each one has a unique feel and skills. The fun is in the different types of champions you can use and how you can combine them with your team so that you can win. Here's the best part, ITS FREE. YEAH. FREE.
I have been playing this game since closed beta and it has come a long way. They added so many skins for the champions (the only things you have to purchase with real money.) There are 2 maps (5 v5 and 3v3). Its an awesome game and is more geared towards casual players and beginners of the DotA type games. So don't worry, its not as hardcore as DotA where you have some random guy yelling at you ALL the time. They also update weekly and have new champions/characters come out ever 2 weeks or so. I am making a tutorial series on youtube soon explaining these more in detail so that beginners can understand how to play so be on the lookout for it.
